The Johnson's have landed...it was a long but uneventful flight. We are safe at Sumarai Beach...the weather in Sydney was beautiful albeit we were only there for a couple of hours. Train from the airport to St James Station Park. A short walk to the rental car and on our way.

A couple hour or so drive on the wrong side of the road to Port Stephens, Nelson Bay - Samurai Beach Youth Hostel. Went to bed early and awoke before sunrise to a slightly over cast day with rain in the forecast...went Dolphin sight seeing and a good walk around the shops and restaurants at the marina. It has been pouring rain for the last 5 hours. We are at very cool little hostel in the middle of what seems like a rain forest. Birds that sound like howler monkies and crying cats and a large dog named Bo.
